Each Muse agent runs on its own virtual machine in Meta’s cloud. A separate Sentinel subagent checks tool calls, and nothing reaches the internet until it approves. The agent never sees your real credential for a connected service. You can also watch it work in a visible browser window.
Meta plans a Muse Confidential VM that will encrypt your data with a key only you hold. Meta also says people can change access or disconnect a service whenever they want, and it published its threat model so researchers can audit it.

Is My Muse Data Used to Train Meta’s AI?
By default, Meta strips PII from your Muse sessions before they’re used to train its AI models. You can disable this in settings to keep your sessions out of training data. Meta also says Muse data stays out of its ad systems. Some privacy concerns remain, because companies like Meta rely on internal policy to limit staff access until that VM ships.
